Some Notes About Penn&Ink
Penn&Ink was founded in 1990 as a book-packaging and consulting company following the sale of the Creative Arts imprint Black Lizard to Random House. The initial clients were PBS, the CBC and KQED, the NPR affiliate in San Francisco. Other publishers included Peach Pit Press, The Eugene O'Neill Foundation at Tao House, and other independent publishers. Printing and production was conducted in Canada, Hong Kong, and the United States.
In 2000, Penn&Ink ceased active production in order to address the owner's serious medical condition (Krohn's Disease). Treatment at the University of Alberta Hospital in Canada proved successful and the owner returned with his wife, Monica, to the United States. They now reside in Bloomington, Indiana, where Penn&Ink has once more taken root. We welcome fellow passengers to wander around this website and enjoy some of the insights and projects in which we and our friends are engaged. It's (usually) good to hear from visitors, so let us know what you think of our work, and, if you're willing, clue us in on your own work. Or other stuff we would benefit from knowing. We're interested, always. Penn |
